✧ Maintaining your jewelry ✧
With the right care, your jewelry will stay beautiful for years to come. Below, you'll find easy ways to do this – without any hassle.
Jewelry and water don't mix well. Avoid contact with water while showering, swimming (chlorine), exercising, or cleaning. Products like perfume, sunscreen, hand gel, or lotions can also damage your jewelry. So, wear your jewelry only after applying your personal care products and remove it before going to bed.
After wearing, it's wise to briefly clean your jewelry with a soft cloth. This removes sweat and dirt, preventing dull spots or discoloration. Store your jewelry in a dry, dark place, preferably separately in a jewelry box or pouch. This prevents scratches, oxidation, and tangling.
Tips per material
Gilded
Has a layer of 24K gold over silver
Polish with a soft cloth or polishing cloth
Clean with lukewarm water + mild dishwashing liquid + soft brush
Never polish with silver or brass polish
Plating may wear off over time – re-plating is possible through us
Silver
May oxidize (discolour) in contact with moisture or air
Regular wear can slow down the oxidation process
Lightly tarnished? Use a silver polishing cloth
More soiled? Clean with lukewarm water, dish soap, and a soft toothbrush.
Pearls, gemstones and wirework
Very sensitive to moisture
Always keep dry and store carefully
Always handle pearls and gemstones with care (avoid bumps, clean carefully)
Some gemstones are sensitive to light/sun or heat
NB
The acidity of your skin can affect the rate of discoloration
Jewelry worn directly on the skin discolors faster than jewelry worn over clothing
Friction between jewelry can cause plating to wear out faster
Wear and tear due to use or improper care is not covered by the warranty
